With each realm controlling a Mothercrystal of their own, an uneasy peace has long settled across the lands. While this is all optional, Square Enix has included some lore screens that can be accessed even during the middle of a cutscene to refresh your memory or fill you in on extra details. Interestingly, the game won't stop at just cutscenes to explain information about its game world. Since the transitions from gameplay to cutscene are reportedly seamless, it's not exactly clear if the previously reported length of 35-40 hours will encompass those FMVs.
